Adele picks up six awards at the Grammy Awards 2012

The 54th annual Grammy Awards became a tribute to Whitney Houston whose untimely death at the age of 48 has shocked the music industry.

Houston's stunning good looks and her rich powerful voice ensured her a place as one of the most admired American singers. She sold more than 170 million albums, singles and videos and her numerous awards included 6 Grammys.

She was best known for her exquisite version of "I will Always Love You" which was 10 weeks at number 1 in the UK music charts. At the 2012 Grammy awards Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to Whitney Houston with an emotional rendition of the song.

The album Whitney Houston –The Ultimate Collection is the perfect showcase for the singer's unique and truly beautiful voice.

Another beautiful lady with an amazing voice walked away from the Grammys with 6 awards. Our own talented, highly professional singer Adele won the prestigious Album of the Year and Song and Record of the Year. In spite of recent problems with her voice which resulted in surgery, Adele is back on exceptional form. There are no histrionics with Adele, no outrageous clothes or posturing, this lady simply commands the stage and mesmerises the audience with her great voice. Her album "21" is absolutely stunning. There are 11 superb tracks, each of them perfectly produced and guaranteed to have you playing it over and over again.

The 2012 Grammy Awards will be long remembered for both defeat and triumph. We mourn the passing of Whitney Houston and we applaud and celebrate the success of Adele.
