Music at the Relentless Freeze Festival 2010

What an event – Lots going on, no mud and the place was buzzing. Between the freestyle competitions we had Mark Ronson and Hadouken and a Pendulum DJ set whipping up the crowd to top off Sunday with a fantastic performance.

This is the UKs biggest Music, Ski and Snowboard festival and well worth a visit.

Under the towering Battersea Power Station, the Event kicked off with the cream of UK riders in The Battle of Britain freestyle competition. The top spot was taken by Billy Morgan, second was Scott Penman and third Jamie Nichols. A fantastic performance by Kraft Kuts in the afternoon and the main tent soon filled up shortly afterwards with Roni Size taking to the stage for a great evening.

Saturday started with some great riding with Katie Summerhayes, only 15 years old, holding her own against the guys and putting down some very clean tricks (she also claimed not to have finished her homework for Monday!)

The sun shone most of Saturday for the freestyle skiers in the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup Finals. Top spot going to Paddy Graham, second to Joseph Tomlinson and James Wood was third. A fantastic music line up all day kept everyone happy. Gentlemens Dub Club, Bedouin Sound Clash and Mark Ronson performing late into the evening after great day that had everyone feeling like they had been in the Alps all day.

The snow held out for a great finale on the Sunday; the International Freestyle Big Air Finals. Sweden has it sown up with first going to Jacob Webster, Jan Olsson second and Henrik Harlaut third – all popping massive tricks. We had Turbowolf and Jettblack to accompany the riders and Hadouken and a Pendulum DJ set to close.
