John Lennon remastered albums to be released in October

It's been announced that a selection of albums by John Lennon will be digitally remastered and released in October 2010, to celebrate what would have been the former Beatles 70th Birthday on the 9th of that month.

Work on the eight albums has been carried out by specialists at the Abbey Road Studios in London, with 121 of his solo songs having been remastered.

Some of the albums to be released will include Rock 'n' Roll and Double Fantasy, the last LP Lennon recorded before he was murdered in New York in 1980.
