AC/DC rock the album chart with the Iron Man 2 soundtrack

After a closely fought battle between rockers AC/DC and Paul Weller, American band AC/DC  latest release,  the soundtrack to the Iron Man 2 movie  has entered the UK album charts at number one, closely followed by Paul Weller's Wake Up The Nation in second spot.

Meanwhile last week's number one from Plan B, The Defamation of Strickland Banks moved down two places to number three, Meat Loaf's latest album Hang Cool Teddy Bear enters the chart in fourth spot and Everybody Wants To Be On TV from Scouting For Girls drops three places to number five.

Elsewhere in the singles chart, Diana Vickers debut single 'Once' has grabbed the top spot. After putting her pop career on hold to perform in the west end,  the X Factor semi-finalist is about to release her debut album Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree next Monday 3rd May.

The artists vying it out for a place in next week's album chart include, Usher with his latest release Raymond Vs Raymond, the album features the number one single OMG, Bullet For My Valentine are back with their third album Fever and the Glee Cast return with their latest offering The Power of Madonna, a collection of hits originally from the Vogue singer, performed by the cast of the hit TV show.
