Plan B - The Defamation of Strickland Banks tops the album chart

Plan B has entered the UK album chart at number one, with his second album The Defamation of Strickland Banks, beating Scouting For Girls latest release Everybody Wants To Be On TV, which took the second spot.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga's The Fame, fell two places to number three, MGMT entered the chart in forth spot with their second album Congratulations and Justin Bieber's My Worlds was down two places to number five.

This week the battle continues with an array of new albums vying for a place in Sunday's chart. Kate Nash is back with her second album My Best Friend Is You, American rocker Meat Loaf releases Hang Cool Teddy Bear, whilst the Modfather Paul Weller returns with his tenth studio album Wake Up The Nation.
