Simon Cowell to pick up an International Emmy

It's been announced that music mogul Simon Cowell will be presented with an International Emmy at this year's International Academy of Television Arts and Science awards, which take place in New York on 22nd November 2010.

The award will honour his outstanding contribution to TV through his music reality shows, X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. The formats for which, have also been rolled out across Europe and in America.

His success doesn't stop there, Cowell owns Syco the music publishing house, manages an array of artists including Il Divo and has added reality show stars Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and Susan Boyle to his books.
