Alexandra Burke will brighten up the night

Alexandra Burke, will tonight (Thursday 12th November) perform in Manchester's Albert Square, as well as switching on the cities Christmas lights.

The X-Factor winner was also meant to switch on the lights in Leeds on the same evening, but had to pull out due to issues with contracts. Pixie Lott is now headlining the Leeds event, with Lorraine Kelly putting in an appearance.

Alexandra will also be performing at Birmingham's light switch on this Saturday (14th November).
