Owl City grab the number one single spot

American singer-songwriter Owl City, also known as Adam Young, has topped the UK singles chart. His debut single 'Fireflies', which entered the charts last week at number two, moved Iyaz's single 'Replay' into second spot.

'Don't Stop Believin' from the cast of Glee crept up two places to number three, whilst 30H!3's, 'Starstruck' featuring Katy Perry, stayed in forth spot. Example had the highest new entry at six, with the single 'Won't Go Quietly'.

Meanwhile in the UK album chart Florence and The Machine hung on to the top spot for the second consecutive week, with their album Lungs. Likewise, Paolo Nutini remained at number two with Sunny Side Up and The Betrayed by Lostprophets was the highest new entry at number three.
