The Top Albums October 2012

There's a lot going on in the album charts at the moment with four new entries in the top 10 and because they are so diverse and generally so very good these are the albums to consider this week.

Way up at number 1 with his debut album is the 18 year old rocking the music world. Jake Bugg is the new talent with an amazing voice and the best songs in a long time. Influenced by Dylan, Johnny Cash and Garfunkel this young man has exceptional talent. Treat yourself to the album and enjoy.

Leona Lewis is a new entry and she's at number 3 with her third album release, Glassheart. The album is the perfect showcase for her fabulous voice and includes dramatic, soaring ballads. The sublime tracks "Fireflies" "Glassheart" and "Trouble" stand alone to make this an album worth every penny.

At number 6 is the new entry Bat For Lashes with The Haunted Man the third album from Natasha Kahn with beautifully written lyrics so well suited to her haunting voice. There's a new maturity here and this lady is moving smoothly to perfection.

Art Garfunkel is a new entry at number 10 with The Singer The album features songs which cover his long musical career and they are all his own personal choice and the result is a great compilation. Garfunkel's voice is instantly recognisable and evocative. He's been around for a long time but this is a welcome addition to any CD collection.
