I have just returned from the states with the new Deadmau5 album in hand, ahead of it's October 5th UK release. Joel Zimmerman aka 'Deadmau5' is making his way to the top of the Progressive House genre of Electro music, which will surely be further aided by this album.

'For Lack Of A Better Name' is an awesome collection of future dancefloor classics. The album seems to be broken down into 3 sections, tracks 1-5 are verging on cheesy electro, with featured vocalists Rob Swire (pendulum) and MC Flipside making an appearance, however, it gets a whole lot better from there on in, with straightforward banging techno.

The last 2 tracks remind me of the Deadmau5 classic -'Faxing Berlin' with epic trance breakdowns played at a house music tempo. My highlight of the album is the song 'Strobe' - possibly the best song he has ever written.

This album is a must for any dance fan's collection and I suggest you pre-order your copy now, you will not be disappointed ;)
