Robbie Williams, the ex-Take That star, made his name with 'Angels' in 1997 but in 2002 he launched himself into the album that he hoped would propel him into shock American superstardom having signed a £80m contract with EMI. Sadly the album did not fulfill his dream and yet the album, although recorded to appeal to Americans - 'Revolution' - it is still Robbie at heart and worth every listen. 'Nan's Song' should be avoided but the rest is pure genious and is filled with a mix of genres from the Queen-eseque 'Love Somebody' to what only Robbie does best with 'Feel'.Of course it is as much a Robbie album as you would expect but don't expect anything like his first 3 albums as this is seen as a mature turn in his career, just a shame that this development did not shine through in his next album 'Intensive Care'!
