From Lemmy filmmaker Wes Orshoski comes the story of the long-ignored pioneers of punk: The Damned. The long-ignored pioneers of punk, The Damned started out as trailblazers on London's 70s punk rock scene, being the first British punk band to release a single, the immortal New Rose in 1976. They were the first of their band's genre to release an album, and the first to tour the United States, performing to sell out crowds, where they left a lasting musical legacy. However the critical adoration lavished on contemporaries like The Clash and Sex Pistols always eluded them. Shot around the globe over three years, the film charts the band's complex history and infighting. It captures the band on a world tour and follows its estranged former members striking out on their own anniversary tour. With contributions from Chrissie Hynde, Mick Jones (The Clash), Lemmy and members of Pink Floyd, Black Flag, Guns 'N' Roses, the Sex Pistols, Blondie and The Buzzcocks.
Rock made history during a sold out three-gig stand at Madison Square Garden in late February 2008, when icons Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood performed a concert together for the first time since their all-too-brief days in the legendary Blind Faith in 19
Set against the backdrop of the 80's music scene, this documentary charts the meteoric rise, fall and ultimate reunion of pop sensation, Spandau Ballett told by the band members themselves with unseen archive footage that will thrill the many fans and beyond.

There cannot be too many films of our great performers provided they are made with an honest intention and true to the subject. Why? Because film remembers the artistic persona as nothing else can do in quite the same way.And so, with the technological advance of DVD and with television retreating from its commitment to the arts, DVD has become the best medium that we have today for keeping those astonishing gifts alive in the world. This is particularly true in the case of Jacqueline Du Pre where so many myths have been invented to explain the unexplainable.Happily, DVD does not need to explain, it can present the artist just as she was and in a way that was never possible before the invention of the first silent 16mm cameras in the 1960s - just in time for her.And so this DVD does not take issue with the myths. We have learned anyway that discussion of them tends only to perpetuate and elaborate them.. Neither is good for the reputation of an artist.Instead, this DVD sets out, first, to present Jacqueline Du Pre as seen through the eyes, the ears and the words of the people who knew her best (Who Was Jacqueline Du Pre?) and, second, to present her through her music (Remembering Jacqueline Du Pre).Between those two films the DVD contains a montage of images of Jacqueline Du Pre and Daniel Barenboim in action, taken from our archives and accompanied by an audio recording, made by us, of the first movement of the Brahms E minor cello sonata (Interlude With Johannes Brahms) and an Interview With Jacqueline Du Pre, shot in 1980, which has never been seen before: neither on television, nor on home video.
Best known for his work with British rock band T. Rex guitarist Marc Bolan's music as well as his highly original sense of style and extraordinary stage presence helped create the glam rock era which made him one of the most recognizable stars in British rock music. He had a brief stint with a modeling agency and became a John Temple Boy appearing in a clothing catalogue for the menswear store. He was a model for the suits in their catalogues as well as for cardboard cut-outs to be displayed in shop windows. Bolan's influences included Bob Dylan Syd Barrett Cliff Richard and Elvis Presley. Told through missing-believed-wiped archive interviews and rare and unseen footage of the singer talking this insightful DVD is a worthy addition to any Marc Bolan collection. Items genuinely unseen and never before seen on DVD including film from the ITN archive. Includes lost and now restored TV interviews from the past and rare film of the singer talking about his career. A must for the die-hard fan!
